ABOUT

Larry Yung is an award-winning American contemporary fine artist.

He began his fine art career with a series of multi-dimensional, sculptural paper board works on contoured foam core, an art form he created called Stak. The art form was used in many of his earlier series including Chinois Pop and Animie

His work is influenced by a broad range of classical period artists, Manga, and American contemporary fine artists: Rosenquist, Julian Schnabel

and Jeff Koons.

The inspiration for Larry's works is attained through his American Chinese heritage, experiences, surroundings, political events, and popular culture. His work is usually driven by a particular theme, but the individual pieces within the series are not contained in one particular style or medium. The non-restrictive nature of his work provides fluidity in his creative process, resulting in a sense of freedom for exploration and progression as an artist.

Larry's works have been exhibited in London, Sweden, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles. His work has been previewed at Sutherby's in Hong Kong for an auction for Asia Art Archive.

His participation in Art Fairs includes Seattle Art Fair, LA Art, Asian Contemporary Art Fair New York, Shanghai Art Fair, and Art 13 London.

Larry's museum exhibitions include Alternative Museum in New York, Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, Berkeley Art Center in Berkeley, and Crocker Museum in Sacramento California.

Selected corporate collections include Microsoft, Marvel Comics, Esquire Magazine, and Nordstrom.

Selected Commissions include: Center for the Arts San Francisco (Tattoo Exhibition), Proctor and Gamble (Tide commercial animation) and

Nordstrom (30 large-scale paintings for their department stores throughout the United States).
